I can’t believe last Wednesday was the official beginning of summer! This year seems to be really flying by. Do you have any fun summer plans? I don’t really have anything on the books right now, but I hope to travel a bit.
This look started with a plain single color of the holo nude base. After a few days, I decided to spruce things up and added the navy holo designs. I didn’t really have any direction of what I wanted this to end up as, but I like how it turned out.
- Lacquer Lust – Butt Bootie Naked (base)
- Cupcake Polish – Bat-chelor Pad (design)
- Vinyls used from TwinkledT (however I think the large chevron on the middle nail is a cheap drugstore vinyl)
Happy Monday! Ok, maybe not “happy” but possibly content/getting by/hey at least I’m breathing, Monday 😀
I reserved this past weekend for cleaning the house, so I didn’t put too much effort into my nails this week for fear of chipping or any breaks. Thankfully I avoided any disasters. Even though my nails are naked (aside from some clear coat) I’ve really enjoyed my natural look this week. As you can see below, my nails have definitely grown over the last three months. The color (yellow staining) has reduced and the ridges from having gels has grown out.
I hope you have a wonderful week,
As mentioned in the previous post, I’m about to drop a handful of manis on you. Lets start with the oldest first… (and of course I’ll have to come back with the colors used)
This polka dot look was for my boyfriend’s future sister-in-law’s bridal shower. The shower invitations had this watercolor flower detail on it that I had to recreate! They didn’t turn out exactly how I wanted them, but I like them well enough. Unfortunately I didn’t get a picture of them before messing them up (ignore the smudge on my thumb).
There’s not much to say about these next two looks. This holo is very simple, but at least its holo!
For this sunset look, it’s not the greatest pic for you to see the gradient, but I promise you there is one! I really liked this one (in person) iPhone doesn’t pick up reds very well in photos
Lastly, as you may know, it was Memorial Day weekend last week. I went to Kansas with my mom to visit family and put flowers on graves. So, of course I had to do a patriotic/festive mani. Yet again, iPhone doesn’t pic up the colors very well, but I loved how these turned out and its a negative space mani! I didn’t let the base clear polish dry long enough between coats so there’s some bubbles, but we can overlook that. I hope you all had a great and safe Memorial Day weekend!
I’m glad to be back, hopefully I can get back to my normal posting schedule!
