As mentioned in the previous post, I’m about to drop a handful of manis on you. Lets start with the oldest first… (and of course I’ll have to come back with the colors used)
This polka dot look was for my boyfriend’s future sister-in-law’s bridal shower. The shower invitations had this watercolor flower detail on it that I had to recreate! They didn’t turn out exactly how I wanted them, but I like them well enough. Unfortunately I didn’t get a picture of them before messing them up (ignore the smudge on my thumb).
There’s not much to say about these next two looks. This holo is very simple, but at least its holo!
For this sunset look, it’s not the greatest pic for you to see the gradient, but I promise you there is one! I really liked this one (in person) iPhone doesn’t pick up reds very well in photos
Lastly, as you may know, it was Memorial Day weekend last week. I went to Kansas with my mom to visit family and put flowers on graves. So, of course I had to do a patriotic/festive mani. Yet again, iPhone doesn’t pic up the colors very well, but I loved how these turned out and its a negative space mani! I didn’t let the base clear polish dry long enough between coats so there’s some bubbles, but we can overlook that. I hope you all had a great and safe Memorial Day weekend!
I’m glad to be back, hopefully I can get back to my normal posting schedule!
Ergh, it’s been a hot minute since I’ve posted, I didn’t make my usual Monday Mani post last week because I was coming home from my trip to Seattle. I planned on doing a follow-up This & That Thursday post, but that obviously didn’t happen either… I’m here now though!!
This first look is what I wore in Seattle. I didn’t want to wear something too crazy, but still wanted something fun. I felt like a sea foam-ish green would be perfect with a sea foam holo. The actual style of the mani is pretty basic and classic in my opinion, but it has that extra little kick with the holo. I really like this, I want to try it with some other cremes and holos that I have. **Sorry about this photo, I didn’t get a chance to take a decent picture of my mani until after I got home, so there’s a few days wear and grow out on these**
For my second look, I wore these once I got back from Seattle. I had bought the Simply Nailogical Zyler polish and got it in the mail while I was out of town. So, of course when I got back, I had to do something with my new polish. Since Zyler is a copper-orange holo, I wanted a bright creme orange to compliment it.
Colors used for Sea foam Seattle Sparkle mani:
- Revlon – Eclectic (580)
- Orly – Sparkling Garbage (20792)
Colors used for Orange Zyler Cat mani:
- Wet n Wild – Club Havana (211B)
- Starrily – Zyler the Cat
I used drugstore french mani strips for both looks.
